If the eyes are the windows to your soul, then the skin around them is the barometer of your age. Regularly using an intensive eye cream can help with issues such as dark circles, crow’s feet, and puffiness. The skin around your eyes is the thinnest and the most delicate skin on your face, and eye creams are similar to essences, but packed with a higher concentration of beneficial ingredients and formulated to be extra gentle and non-irritating.
To apply eye cream, you want to use your ring finger/pinkie to gentle tap the product around the entire orbital bone, and don’t get too close to the waterline of your eyes otherwise you might irritate them. By tapping your eye cream, it not only leads to better absorption of the product, but also eliminates the tugging and pulling which causes more winkles!
angetips: If you have really sensitive skin, you can consider using an eye cream as a face cream due to its gentle yet beneficial properties.
To see immediate improvement around your eye area, I’d recommend you to try this 5 minutes Gua Sha eye massage around your orbital bone. (You can see the differences in my eye bags in the video below). In Oriental medicine, the eyes are connected to a list of channels in your body: Bladder TM, Stomach TM, Triple Burner and Gall bladder. In my next post, I will go into more details on how different areas of our eyes can reflect what is happening inside our body.
